Southside Economic Development District Plan (SEDD)

The Southside Economic Development District’s 25-year plan for South Monroe was approved by the Monroe Planning Commission on Monday, May 2nd. It is scheduled to be on the May 10th City Council Agenda, at Monroe City Hall at 6 p.m. The plan calls for $300 million in public and private investments in Southside Developments that will reduce crime, create safe neighborhoods and attract businesses.

NAACP members are encouraged to speak to their council members and ask them to support the passage of the plan.
